About

I'm Scott Siu.

I've spent twenty years on databases and enterprise infrastructure: in the PostgreSQL community, on Alibaba Cloud RDS, and on storage products at Huawei. What I've always cared about is whether a data system holds up in real production.

These days I'm driving Cortrix.AI, open-source semantic storage for AI agents. Agents rely on more and more data and context, and the demands that once shaped data management systems are playing out again, this time in agents.

This site is where I keep my notes: experiments, mistakes, papers worth reading, and a weekly roundup called Semantic Tech Insights.
